5 Great qualities you can learn from the Queen…♛

Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral is tomorrow at Westminister Abbey. And because she successfully anchored the UK through challenging times— and the royal family’s own dilemmas for over seventy years, it’s only right to reflect upon her Majesty’s greatest qualities.

The Queen has been a Monarch since the age of twenty-five and died at age the age of ninety-six. Fifteen British prime ministers served her in that time.

She led the United Kingdom through the shrinking of the British Empire and the rise of Globalisation. The problems facing the United Kingdom continues to change.

The Queen was always resilient and adaptable to change. She believed in looking for opportunities to help people who were less fortunate. The Queen broadcasted her annual speech live on television at Christmas.

“In difficult times we may be tempted to find excuses for self-indulgence and to wash our hands of responsibility. Christmas stands for the opposite… we need to go out and look for opportunities to help those less fortunate than ourselves, even if that service demands sacrifice.” (1980)

“For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, whose birth we celebrate today, is an inspiration and an anchor in my life. A role-model of reconciliation and forgiveness, he stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing. Christ’s example has taught me to seek to respect and value all people of whatever faith or none.” (2014)

More recently, she👑talked about her Faith and said Jesus Christ was her anchor. Jesus Christ’s example was to respect and value people from all walks-of-life.

3. Work ethic

The Queen had an exceptional work ethic. She was relentless in her effort to perform public duties.

Even towards the end of her life, she continued to do her Royal duties. She could have retired a long time ago!

4. Exercise

Her Majesty stayed active throughout her life. She was often seen riding horses and walking her beloved Corgi’s around Windsor.

The Queen enjoyed her holidays at her Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She enjoyed horse riding and walking in the picturesque countryside.

5. Inclusion and diversity champion

Finally, the Queen was famous for being an inclusion and diversity champion. She was well-known for her love and respect for diverse cultures, creeds, and religions.

And of course, she was head of the Commonwealth consisting of 54 different countries. Her majesty championed multi-cultural Britain and did more for this cause than any politician I’ve known.

  1. You are right about the Queen, and that’s one reason I don’t buy into Harry and Meghan’s whining. People in the USA are suckers for their kind of victimization. Queen Elizabeth may have come off sometimes as a “cold fish,” but she was an incredibly strong woman. Great Britain benefitted from her example.

    • Thank-you for the comment! The Royal Family 🇬🇧 have had a difficult time since the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s passing. 🤴

Once upon a time, the Harry vs Charles/William feud could have been settled by the drawing of swords ⚔️.
But now we have Harry’s Netflix documentaries and book releases exposing all the family squabbles’……..
